Yes, men still control the boards. Despite efforts in many companies, government bodies are still mostly masculine. Why are there so few women at the head of corporations? You do not have to look very far from your seat to notice that senior managers and members of the board of directors at the majority of large enterprises all over the world are male. In almost all developed countries, there is a clear pattern across the levels of positions and female employees that “tend to be concentrated in entry or middle level positions” (Gender Gap Research 2010).
